but has no claim to merit, either
for argument or language. Opinion
is opposed to opinion, and conjec-
ture to conjecture. Reports, sug-
gestions, and suspicions, as to the
possible or probable motives of poli-
tical writers, can have little weight
with the earnest inquirer after truth.
